RVIM is the research center for Ph. D programs offered by Bangalore University. An exclusive Research center has been set up with latest computers and internet facilities. Further access to online National and International Journals is provided for Data Mining. SPSS package is installed for advanced Statistical Analysis. Conferencing facility, audio, video equipment and photo copying facilities are also provided.
To cater to the research needs of the corporate world, RVIM research center takes up projects in different portfolios. It has in-house expertise to design, plan, analyze and implement the research projects. Expert faculty has guided several research projects from industry. Research findings are presented in the form as required by the user. RVIM also takes up research projects of social concern and projects from Government agencies.
RVIM is recognized as the Karnataka Chapter of Consultancy Development Centre (DSIR, Ministry of Science & Technology), New Delhi. Through CDC, RVIM is developing opportunities for Consultancy Development in different functional areas for its members.
Ebsco on line data base is provided in the research cell through which more than one thousand international journals can be accessed. Further the back volumes of these journals can also be accessed. The faculty members who are doing M.phil and PhD level research are able to access the Ebsco online data base for literature survey and other research requirements. The MBA students can also access the data base for their research project requirements and also for their academic assignments.
To inculcate research aptitude among the management students mini research projects of social significance are assigned to group of students in different functional disciplines with a faculty guide and the reports are generated and kept in the research cell. The findings are also published in the media.
The research cell at RVIM also undertakes research projects from Government and corporate for design, planning and analysis.
