Mentorship is a highly valued student support programme at RVIM. It is a platform to guide mentees in overcoming the barriers related to both personal and academic levels through one to one contact. Mentors are always in personal contact with the mentees.
A Mentorship is a supportive relationship established between two individual where knowledge skills and experience are shared. The students assigned to a mentor seek guidance in developing specific competencies self-awareness and skills. Mentors who have the required expertise share their wisdom with the wards in a nurturing way. Through reflection and collaboration the mentee can become self confident and competent.
The mentoring program focuses on the student’s development in the following areas:
- Communication and Presentation skills.
- Creative problem solving techniques
- Leadership and Motivational Skills.
- Supervision skills.
- Public speaking.
- Time management,
- Interpersonal relationship.
- Team building.
RVIM alumni association extends its support in the mentorship process by answering queries related to placements and guiding aspirants through group discussion and personal interviews.
