Which university is RVIM Affiliated ?
RV Institute of Management is a premier Management Institution and is affiliated to Bangalore University. It is recognized by Government of Karnataka and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
What is the intake for MBA ?
The total approved intake is 180 students for an academic year. 90 students are admitted through PGCET (Government of Karnataka) & another 90 students through CMAT/CAT/MAT/KMAT/ATMA with Group discussions and Personal interview. Application can be downloaded from web site and after filling in the details, can be sent to the office with a D.D for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of “RV Institute of Management, Bangalore”, Payable at Bangalore.
When will the classes commence?
Regular classes will tentatively commence from 2nd week of September 2013. However, Personality development programmes by experts will be conducted which will be intimated in due course. The courseware will be reinforced with Value added courses, Guest Lectures, Workshops, Conferences, PG programmes, Certifications and Seminars.
What are the specializations offered?
There are four specializations offered. They are Marketing, H.R, Finance & Information Systems. Dual specializations are offered. Marketing specialization is compulsory & along with Marketing you can take Human Resource, Finance or Information Systems. (Both specializations are Majors)
How is the Placement facility?
RVIM has a well-established placement cell, managed by the dedicated Officers. Our students have been placed in many of the premier organizations like Thomson Reuters, Tesco, IBM, ICICI, Oracle Financial Services, JP Morgan, Capgemini, RBS, Amazon India, Aditi Technologies, Colgate, ITC, Keane, HUL, L & T, Toyota, TCS etc. Average salary offered as per the campus placement is Rs. 3.0 to 3.5 Lakhs/ per annum and highest package has been 8 Lakhs/annum.
Whether hostel facilities are available?
Limited Hostel facilities are available for both Boys & Girls on first come first serve basis. However, numbers of private managed PG accommodation facilities are available around the campus.
Whether the dress code is prescribed
Yes, students have to wear formal and decent dresses.
