Inauguration of Decennial Celebrations at R.V. Institute of Management
Inauguration of Decennial year celebrations of R.V. Institute of Management , Bangalore was held on 30th November 2008 in the college campus. Inaugurating this celebration Sri Ashok Soota, Chairman and Managing Director, MINDTREE Ltd, Bangalore advised B–School interns that “Life is a series of marathon races to be faced with determination, proactiveness in and a strong result oriented approach”. Citing the examples of TOYOTO and INFOSYS, he urged the prospective managers to follow the Corporate Mantra -‘ relate to people at a personal level’.
Dr. Gopal Mahapatra, Director, Organization and Talent Development, Oracle (India) Ltd., carried his address through an interactive session by sensitizing the last four days of major tragedies in Mumbai bomb blast. He called up on the students to mould their careers with a positive attitude towards society and environment. He concluded his address by defining a leader as “one who can see things which cannot be seen by others and can hear the vibrations which cannot be felt by a common person’.
In the presidential address Dr. M.K.Panduranga Setty, President, Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST)told that young managers to bring in values to their organization. He also expressed his displeasure at today’s value system. The reason behind financial meltdown is lack of transparency in the system. The need of the hour is integrity
